Nuts
SANS Meal Bars are loaded with unsalted almonds and peanuts. Packed with protein and nutrients, nuts provide a satisfying, mouth-watering crunch in every bite.
Dates
This multi-dimensional fruit is not only delicious...but also the glue that holds our meal bars together! Dates are nutrient-rich and provide all-important fiber that slows down our body’s processing of sugars. The standard today (unfortunately) for sweetening most of the world’s food is refined / added sugar: high fructose corn syrup, rice syrup, or sucrose. Naturally sweet dates offer an excellent alternative.
Fruits
We use real fruits, such as coconuts, cherries, blueberries and strawberries (all unsweetened) to complement and enhance the delicious, natural flavor of our meal bars in a way that only natural fruits can.
Egg Whites
One of the purest forms of protein, egg whites are used in all of our products. Egg whites are cholesterol-free and contain all eight essential amino acids our bodies cannot produce on their own. Egg whites are also lactose free – making them an ideal form of protein for those who cannot consume dairy.
Flaxseed
We love this superfood! Flaxseed is a great source of dietary fiber and contains anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids. In addition, flaxseed is rich in antioxidant substances called lignans that help promote hormonal balance. Fun fact: flaxseed has been consumed for at least 6,000 years, making it one of the world’s first cultivated superfoods!
Spinach
What meal is complete without some vegetables? Spinach is particularly rich in vitamins and nutrients. So yes, we snuck it in. Don’t worry. You won’t be able to taste it. But you will be able to answer “yes” when your mother asks you “did you eat your vegetables today?”
Oats
We add oats to all of our products for a few reasons. For starters, they play a key role in our unique texture – not too sticky and not too dry - just right! Oats are also particularly filling and packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals – just the nutrients you need for a satisfying and sustaining meal replacement.
